The project consisted of widening and overlaying an existing concrete pavement with a thin layer of asphalt and then constructing a new seven inch thick layer of concrete pavement, a process known as “whitetopping.”
Approximately 300 homes in an older section of Pepper Pike was being serviced by existing septic systems. Many of these systems were failing and required substantial upgrades or replacements.
This project required the rehabilitation of an existing pump station that was experiencing frequent operational failures due to system age and poor design.
Our project responsibilities included review of flow data, existing conditions survey, improvement plans and specifications, approvals from the Ohio EPA Dept. of Environmental Finance, project bidding and award recommendation, full construction management including construction observation.
